The GPS controller integrates the ARM7TDMI® ARM® Thumb® processor core, 16-channel baseband correlator, 128KB RAM , firmware, and a wide range of peripheral functions into a single CMOS chip for flexible, cost-effective solutions. Fast exception handling makes it ideal for real-time control applications.
For normal PVT (Position/Velocity/Time) applications, there is no need for off-chip flash memory or ROM. The device also supports the NMEA® protocol (2.1 and 2.3) for PVT data, configuration and debugging, the RTCM protocol, and A-GPS.
